what rifle are you loading for, what twist rate?
when first starting to reload I would focus more on the object of reloading and don't expect perfected accuracy on the first try.
use several manuals to compare data.
if it's your first time reloading ever than I wouldn't try to jump right to developing a load.
i would just practice on the reloading procedure itself, get used to it and comfortable sort of thing.
maybe start with loading your ammo on the lower end of the charge range but focus on your steps of reloading, consistency is key for accuracy(if that's what your are trying to achieve).
after you feel comfortable with the reloading process and maybe even developed some methodology than you can start to work up loads.
if your just punching paper at the range have a look at the 168 grain bullet area, compare ballistic coefficient of bullets in your manual, choose one and work it up.
most 308 shooters like varget as a powder but you will have to see what works best in your rifle.
if loading for accuracy consistency is key don't change more than one factor at a time.
keep it simple and stress free, reloading should be enjoyable and relaxing.
hope this info helps.
