New Ruger precision rifle.

My comment was in jest :)

Experiences like yours can certainly turn someone off a particular brand of firearm. Ruger isn't the same company since old Bill passed. The corporate bean counters are responsible for that. Compare a pre- Hawkeye 77mkII to a current model and you'll instantly see what I mean.

Yep, they make ARs now, tactified the Mini 14 and 10/22, have higher capacity mags, make 1911s etc.

A fully loaded precision rifle that comes with an aluminum chassis, fully adjustable folding stock, sub-moa accuracy up to 1600 yards and costs about a quarter of what similar rifles from other manufacturers sell for? Time will tell but it sounds a little too good to be true. On paper, the Mini-14 seemed like a good idea too...

I wonder if it will blow up in my face if i buy one?

Every ruger rifle I've bought in the last few years has had issues... some minor... some major but all needed to go back to the repair depot.
I think i will stick with my savage for a precision rig.

When available, i will buy one and trial and error it, this is the only sure way to know it's potential... JP.

It looks like it could do the job. For a turn-key product, a price of approximately $1900 CDN is fairly attractive as long as it shoots
as good as it looks. I'll be waiting to read/view some actual user reviews on this puppy. Other then that, way to go Ruger.

here is a video of Ruger's official ad regarding this puppy & the one below it is review of the rifle by Gun blast.com
