New Rugger 10-22 CLONE on the market

Got mine today, took it apart to start adding some aftermarket parts that I have accumulated such as a stock and barrel.
First the warning, these rifles do not accept Ruger aftermarket barrels!
The barrel shank on the RIA22 is 0.7035", Ruger 10/22 and aftermarket barrels are 0.6870", a 16.5 thou difference. Why they chose to do this is beyond me. They cut themselves out of the market for upgrades. I now have to sell this unfired and find an older 10/22 (used, all metal)

It does fit nice and tight in aftermarket stocks, even the barrel band fit on this Butler Creek folder.

I have a Blaster stock coming to go with the 8", I might let the Rock Island go with the folder as the fit is perfect.

I'm glad someone with some sense actually did some measuring and confirmed the barrels are different, may be other differences as well which will limit what will fit on these.
Again for the price, a Ruger in the same configuration is $259-$269 which makes no sense why anyone would bother with one of these.

For the small price difference...I'd stick to Ruger. They are not a "tack driver" STOCK by any means but what do you expect for under $400 for a SEMI .22LR? I have 3...10s of thousands of rounds through the all with cleaning only done if they got wet or after 2 I've shot through 2 Federal "blue box" bulk. The few "issues" with them can be fixed for under $50 and/or with some hand tools and simple know how.

If these have warranty issues or parts breaking down...then what?

Your either new to shooting...or live in your own little world my friend :).

I will admit the FRAMES and sometimes the slides are good on a Norc. Nothing else.

Added...

If a dealer(s) starting selling frames and slides...in a "make your own 1911" AKA LEGO kit for men package...that would be pretty cool. :)

The solo frames and slides woulds have to be finished much, much nicer in this case tho.

Whatsa matter? You and Rod B, with your Kimbers and other high end 1911's, been out-shot by Norincos?:p

AGAIN...a Kimber is a NOT a high end 1911 (maybe a FEW of their models area)...they are $$$, some Kimbers LOOK good but are still not great. If you cannot name names any better then someone who has looked at a Guns and Ammo magazine a few times I think your lost at what a HIGH END 1911 is.
