Hopefully they don't just drop it into one of these and call it "new"

I think the whole "rail" craze as of late is pretty absurd myself. A.I. went a little off the deep end with their new AX series as well.
+1. I wanna see a "tactical" pop can mount made so I can enjoy a drink of Pepsi while on the range. That's about the only use I would have for rails.
A short section of top rail would be needed if you wanted to mount a night vision device like a SIMRAD in front of your main optic. Not too many people have a need or the money for that kind of equipment so even that is gimmicky, unless you just enjoy having that milspec look to your rifle. Bottom rail can be used to mount a handstop, bipod, sling. The long side rails are puzzling. Will someone please explain what all those rails could be used for on a long range precision rifle.
