Tikka's aren't good?

I recently bought a T3 in 223 for a winter coyote rifle and it is crazy accurate.
First test load after break in went sub- 1/4 MOA, so much for load development, work is done.

In my experience, this is the typical level of build quality and qualify control. I'm glad you got your money back.

Now go buy a rifle from a non-garbage manufacturer.

Weatherby, tikka, browning, Winchester etc.

Savage does not make the list

Glad the shop looked after you it might be a place I wouldnt mind buying from . Theres a few shops that would have sent you on your way . Might be worth a good word .

I had no idea Savage was slipping as well. I knew there were the problems at Remington and Marlin but I would expect more from Savage.

My Savage rifles show signs of being built for economy but quality outside of that was always good. That's unfortunate to hear.

Savage slipped hard after the old model 99's, nothing since then is worth looking at seriously. IMHO of course...

I heard of Savage QC slipping at some point back in the 1980s/90s (?) when they nearly went under, but had been pleasantly satisfied with a couple guns of more recent manufacture. I sometimes wonder about the QC of guns produced in 2008-2009 and again during the past couple of months as the US election drew near, as firearms were being slapped together pretty quickly. I'd certainly prefer an older AR15 for instance than one being put together right now.

I'm glad the store refunded the gun as they ought to have done.
