You don't stand much of a chance getting the law changed for AR 15 or M16 restricted classification when Harper can't even get the CFO'S to obey a directive from the Public Safety Officer on behalf of the Federal Government.Time to clean house and get some law enforcement officers in there that obey an order and the law of the land.To many paper shufflers not enough street cops to catch the real bad guys .

unbelievable it can't take an AR upper yet it's a variant. They used the excuse that the S&W M&P22 could take a AR upper to make it restricted.

But it can't, I don't think. I thought S&W put the pins in non-spec positions on purpose. Plus there's not only no buffer tube, there's no place to mount a buffer tube. The back end of the receiver is a solid piece of plastic.

It shouldn't matter. A 22lr blowback and a centerfire gas operated rifle are two completely different guns and therefore the 22 S&W should have never even been considered as a variant of the AR platform. The decision to classify it as restricted was complete bullshi*. They don't even follow their own rules. I am just surprised that we are expected to follow them.

As much as I would like this to be non restrictive there is still a market for it.
