New shotguns, MAG-FED and SHORTIES - NEW PICS

Two can play at that game...

How long would the barrel on that one be???
It doesn't look short enough to be the 8.5" and not long enough to be the 12.5"
It must be a non-existent 10"...

I think 7 is about practical max. there is talk of a drum, but there is a fair but of engineering involved. I am open to drum ideas if anyone has used a shotgun drum before, I haven't.

The only drum I was ever to see up close was (if I recall correctly) a 20 rounder. There was a rather ingenious assist mechanism that worked with the forward slide. When the slide was pulled to the rear, it pressed the actuator mechanism in the drum causing it to rotate, and a mechanical pawl to press a round up and out of the top.
Can't say how well it worked, or any other details. Perhaps someone else has see one as well.

Sidewinders are out of production.

Really? Unless we're talking Apples & Oranges here.......in other words, a Sidewinder Kit, vice a Sidewinder. This statement is currently on the Knoxx website......

"Remington 870 Sidewinder Conversion Kit

Due to the high demand from our customers, Knoxx Industries has developed a Sidewinder™ Drum Magazine conversion kit for the immensely popular Remington 870 pump shotgun. The kit for the 870 will require Knoxx factory installation and will permanently modify the shotgun. Both 10-round drum and 6-round box magazines will fit, as will the unique forend and "Kelly Grip" system. Suggested retail is the same as the Mossberg version ($189.95), plus conversion costs of less than $75). All magazines are interchangeable between Mossberg and Remington Sidewinder systems.

Our Sidewinder Kit replaces the magazine tube. Mossberg shotguns have a magazine tube that screws in, making replacement a simple process. The tube on Remington 870 is silver soldered in place and requires that it be milled out for replacement. We will be the only source for installation. Once we announce the availability of the Remington kit, we will provide the process for shipping your shotgun to us for conversion.

NOTE: Despite the requests from our customers (and our own interest), we cannot produce conversion systems for semi-auto and foreign-made pump shotguns due to federal regulations. Installation of our conversion kits on semi-auto or foreign-made pump shotguns constitutes a federal felony."

I can't find the sidewinder listed under current products, and they announced its discontinuation some time ago. Its possible they're bringing it back, but as near as i can tell you might have some old info there that never got deleted off the website.

Some species of flashlight holder would be nice - no room to attach it to the barrel.

I'd want one for bear defense in camp - and at night that means being able to see as well as shoot. You always have a hand light till you identify the noise as an animal, but after that you'd pretty much want to be able to drop it and still have light on the subject :D

Already done. They will be here in May with the mag-feds.

Anyone have any other plastic bits they would like to see made?

I would love to see a pistol gip forend to keep from shooting the tips of my fingers off with a 8.5 mag fed. Working a light into it would be a bonus, but probably more feasible with a 12" model.

I would like the female end of a picatinny rail for the top so I can mount one under my railed AR.

As for plastic, I would like a forward folding spring loaded foregrip. You'd fold it to put in a holster, but when you draw it pops out.

I'd like to see this item available to Canadians...

It's a nice piece of kit, most flexible, and I have one you can use for a model.
