New sig 1911 .22?

I love my gsg...but hasn't ever been anything like that accurate...really!
Honestly, and it was bought used from a dealer, so I have no idea how many rounds thru it, but I have put at least 3000 myself.
I shot a ten shot group on Saturday rapid fire at 8 yards and the group was no bigger than a quarter,, and that was as fast as I could pull the trigger( I was trying to impress a couple of young lads, lol), if I take my time the gun is very accurate, and I'm not a very experienced shooter. It's a great little gun for sure :)

My colt was made by Walter. Sold that and just bought a Sig .22
Anyone know where I can get a set of black grips? Would any 1911 grips fit this?

No reason in particular, just got tired of it. Now I've got the itch for a .22 so thought the Sig was reasonably priced.

hmm I thought the quality on the Colt was better but it's all about accuracy so still undecided how was the Colt for hitting the bull and reliability..

Colt was accurate enough, with CCI. A bit picky on ammo though.
Adjustable rear sight was nice.
Trigger was a bit gritty.
Not sure if it's worth the couple hundred more though.
Is the Sig barrel attached to some sorta rod?? Like the colt barrel.

Thanks what would you say a nice one is worth used?

I owned an older version of the Sig 1911-22 (for a while) and prefer the slide of the new model (Looks more Sig-like).
While mine wasn't picky on ammo and shot decent out to 25yrds (with the tallest front sight) the wear on the slide stop notch was becoming evident after only a couple hundred rounds. As a result, I didn't see a long lasting relationship and replaced it with a Ruger MKIII.
Hopefully, the metallurgy on the slide has improved with the latest offerings......
