Can't disagree with that. Glock's primary contribution to the world of firearms is in the field of advertising, not engineering/design. Convincing people that they could rely on a gun made [partially] of the same material as their lunchboxes was certainly no easy fit. But at the same time, Glock was also very lucky to release thier weapon just as North American police departments were starting to switch from DA revolvers to semi-autos. Without the NA law enforcement market, Glock would have never been what it is today.I don't really care who came up with the plastic frame first or the other features; Gaston Glock made them marketable.
Are you trying to suggest that this is somehow wrong or unethical? Are you saying that selling a rip off of another company's original design is okay while selling a rip off of a rip off is not?Sig-Sauer is working from the opposite direction: it took characteristics from something that was already popular (a Glock pistol)and is trying to get in on the act.
They haven't ripped off anything more than John Browning ripped off the flintlock rifles because they were made of metal. Is a Glock a rip off of a 1911 because it has a locking barrel? Is S&W's M&P a rip off of a Glock too? Or is it a rip off of the VP70 mentioned above? Not wrong, just odd for an established firearms producers like Sig and Sauer. One expects them to be on the cutting edge and not just simply ripping off other designs as you put it. In other words they are held to a higher standard.
By copying the Glock and incorporating the removable hammer group of the Tokarev they are really flattering Gaston Glock and Fedor Tokarev.
....how is P250 similar to Tokarev? or Glock for that matter...?

If you don't like Sig just say so. That's fine. Some like blue cars some like red. Some like Ford trucks some like GM. No big deal.

I am a SIG fan, I fondled the 250 at SHOT, I can't say i was in love with pistol, it felt fine and trigger was nice, but it looked like the styling department was out to lunch when this pistol arrived. The front looks exactly like a Glock. If Iwas issued with it, I would be fine, but I doubt I would buy it.

You can have the .45ACP variant. It's a restricted firearm. The FNH FNP is also a great design. I want one.
