New Sightron SIII 10X50-60mm scope and Others for 2010

Depends on action length, barrel thickness, base height, etc.

I would certainly lean towards the very tall for rings. Also, strong as this will be a heavy scope.

I am looking at the Burris XTB rings in extra tall for my F class rig because I have a barrel block and the Burris Sig ZEE rings I use (xtra high) will likely not be tall enough.

I am hoping this will reach all those that PM'ed me about these scopes.

I just talked to Sightron this morning. There is batch that has just finished QC and will be heading to my dist in the coming days.

I do not know how many extras there are but it has been indicated that those who prebooked SHOULD get their scopes.

The bulk of this order are the 10X50 and 8x32's. Was not given any update on the 6x24's but hoping they are included too. For sure, there will be more product on route all through the spring as the response has really be overwhelming for Sightron.

If all goes well, I should be getting my shipment in 3wks or so and will ship promptly.

I truly appreciate all the patience that has been shown on these preorders.

If you are interested in one of these scope, please PM me.

Hopefully by April, we will be able to get some hands on reviews. Those who got them in the US on the first order seem pleased so I am really looking forward to testing them very soon.

is it possible to get target turrets for any of these scopes or is it limited to some models and all others come with turret caps?

I would love to test one of these against my NF 12-42 BR scopes.

I use a Farrell base on my guns and Medium TPS and Burris Extreme rings with a 56mm Objective with 1/4" to spare. 2mm should still allow a 60mm objective if the main tube is 30mm.

All SIII scopes have target turrents AND covers except the fixed mag ones.

These have an exposed turrent similar to the Super Snipers - no covers.

Cyan1de, you will get that chance to compare the SIII when you get back from the US Nats.

how many more sleeps?

Good luck

Leaving after work on the 12th so that's 11 more sleeps and 600 rounds still to load for my .260. Can you say "procrastinator"? LOL

Well, good and bad news. Got my updated shipping tally from my dist.

For those that booked the 10X50's are coming. The 6x24's are coming, The 8x32's got massively short shipped so most are still waiting shipment.

I will post an update as I get info.

There will be regular shipments from Sightron so if you would like to get on the wait list, just let me know...

How are warranty issues treated Jerry?
How does that end of things work?

Good chat with Sightron on that. They will deal directly with the scope owner. Lifetime warranty. All repairs in the US and no issues with shipping back - they have the proper permits/paperwork in place for that already.

They also suggest a turnaround that would make them one of the fastest in the industry. Haven't had to use it so can't say.

All sightron is telling us is that a shipment is coming in pretty much every 30days.

What they don't know is how big a backlog in orders are at each dist so they send out each dist allocation and they dist works through their backorder list.

I am hoping that I will get stock on the next shipment.

The 6x24 w/mildot was last years darling and still super popular but I think the 8x32 w/ mildot will be this years gem.

The 10X50's are all gone too but at least, I got what I had booked.

I am sure there a bunch of unhappy dealers right now.
