Well it sure is a heck of a lot cheaper then saving nearly $3000 for a brand new XCR in 7.62x39, so in that aspect this is a major bargain priced accessory.

If you look at this adapter under that light, you are just giggling like a school girl at the money you just saved!!!

heck I certainly think this is a cool product , don't take my comments as knocking the product or idea. It's just that earlier I had posted that I would probably jump on it , realistically I just don't shoot the sks enough to justify it.
I'll most certainly be donating that much or more to the fight for getting rid of mag cap restrictions though

Agreed, I actually had an XCR - and have the mags. They are definitely not the same.

XCR mags are not LAR mags.

I have a question on the design of the magwell, is there a reason that the mag release was not on the left hand side or rear of the magwell? Was this an engineering constraint?

Maybe because of the branding for advertising. The other side has small recess above the magwell to pull mags, and lower midway up, the mag release button. Dave, any pics of the other side?

I worked a while on the logo on the side & i like the way it turned out, you can simply paint over it if you want as we cut it in after the anodizing, but I believe in shameless self promotion......

Keep the right side plain like that.

Logo on the left side with screw heads and release spring mech. is fine.


EDIT: 1 sugggestion for later runs... I recommend adding some texturing to the face of the mag release button if possible.

Pie Plates are a hell of a lot smaller than a paper facsimile of a full size chest/torso.

So, if you are landing multiple 7.62x39 rounds within that imaginary circle, thats pretty damn good cuz that "paper dude" isn't going to stand up...PERIOD!

In that respect, My-Noot of Py-Plate is just fine! Stop watching too much Nutnfancy!
