New Stuff...

I don't believe so, I was at a retailer last fall and a customer was picking up his re-registered non restricted storm and they left the barrel in the box for him incase he ever wanted to convert it back to restricted...Its a good idea incase there's a problem with the aftermarket barrel, besides, you paid for both. Personally the storm's not my cup of tea, but to each his own I guess...Mark; I'd put a deposit down on an FN 308 restricted or otherwise when the option becomes available.

Any updates on shipping dates for the LMT MWS guns?

We originally indicated that we expected to see the first units start to arrive in May 2010... nothing has changed.

How many we'll get in that initial shipment is still unknown but we still expect first shipment to arrive by some time in May.

Hey MArk,

Any chance of bringing in the new RRA carbines in .40 S&W??

Regards,

We will when they finally acutally start shipping them. That's a product they showed us (privately) 3 years ago... had a chance to test fire one back then and loved it... but at the time they said it was just "something they were working on for future".

They finally announced the product "officially" at this year's SHOT Show but said at that time probably won't start shipping until latter half of 2010. We have some on order but I don't expect to see the first ones arrive until after the summer and possibly even later.

When we know more we'll post details on our website but until then who knows what will actually happen.

Mark,

When the 17S does arrive would you also consider bringing the 20" barrel FN makes for the SCAR 17 LB? It would certainly save you time of having to get them produced at a third party.

We would much prefer that... we don't want to make barrels ourselves... we'd much prefer selling the manufacturer's product but who knows if or when we'll see 17's let alone 20" FN Barrels for them.

Could be a long time waiting on that stuff.

Mark

Is there any thread I can follow on the status of the sig 522 ? Last I heard you where getting it classified

errr.....i thought the 17s are coming in june? no? or is it "delay"....

There is nothing to "follow"... the gun has been in the hands of the RCMP for months now, but until they issue their official decision/classification there's nothing we can do except wait.

When we know anything "official" we'll post on our website (and I'm sure the info will quickly make it's way to these FORUMS) but until then there is really nothing for us to post.

Ok I understand. I check your site often anyway (been eyeing the glock 19 you have) so I will wait patiently. Thank for the response man!
Cheers

Mark I realize that you don't have a "crystal ball" however reference the recent update on your site with the new DOS restrictions. It mentions that the SCAR was named specifically. That said, are you confident given the orders, and approval for the first batch of rifles that the "pre-order" folks will get rifles?
Maybe some will? some won't?

I'm not confident of anything :)

I've told you what I know as of today... what happens in future is anyone's guess. My suggestion is to leave it alone and let's see what happens... maybe they'll change their minds/policy... it's happened before.

If you placed an advance order then keep your fingers crossed and hope you get lucky... or cancel your order and kick yourself later if some are allowed for export.

Mark

Are you able to comment on if the permits for the pre-order rifles are approved? or is this process on going?

That's too bad I was saving up to buy a SCAR. I would have pre ordered but I like to have the cash ready in case they showed up early.

Any chance of getting them from FN Directly? I know the Canadian HK suppier stopped importing from the US a few year back to save money and speed up delivery.

16S is supposed to be here in May-June. 17S may be here late 2010...maybe IF DOS allows and production allows.

Make sure you know which version you are talking about. The 16S is 5.56x45 and the 17S is the 7.62x51.

I guess I can't order a LMT 10.5" upper next week like I was planning.
Mark, in regards to your 11.5" Questar upper are the barrels home grown or US imports. Will there still be a chance of getting items such as that in the near future?
Thanks,

Kieran
