Lookup Farleg on the Hammertime forum,
He has shot a bunch of water buffalo with both.
Here is an exceptional photo he shared.

30 cal 137gr Hammer Hunter IIRC
Went through the horn before killing the buff (look near the tip, entry and exit are clearly visible). I don't think this was planned, just an example of Murphy's law - animal moved it's head as the shot is released.
Pretty impressive for a little 137gr pill (may have been exceeding 30-06 velocities)
Hammer spent a lot of time testing different copper alloys - the one they settled on is pretty soft and will give reliable straight line penetration through bone (assuming adequate stability of course - SG of 1.5+ is critical here).
Farleg has a dairy farm and shoots bovine knuckles as a testing medium, so I take his word for it as I mainly shoot ribs myself
