Poorly made in what way? If you don't mind me asking. Just interested knowing about recent Polytech quality. My only experience with Polytech is an old Polytech legend (quality was superb).

I believe he's talking about the barrel gouge when they drilled the gas port. TI mentioned they would be looking for this when they inspect the shipment in China.

Kk, cheers. Didn't they say there would be a year long warranty that would defend us customers from possible manufacturing deficiencies as well?

Seems perfectly reasonable to me. I honestly have a feeling though that these guns are going to be awesome mechanically and function well.

I'm an unapologetic AK fanboy. I also believe one thing the Chinese produce with apex quality is Soviet style arms. The fact the T81 replaced the T56, and incorporates AK and SVD elements on an RPK style receiver (thickness and milled Trunnion), makes me want it very badly. I absolutely love the idea of the T81. I just wish I could see more of it. Didn't TI say they were going to do an accuracy display for the T81? Also some guy on here said he convinced Larry Vickers to do a video of his T81. Back to waiting and hoping for more media prior to the winter arrival.

Thanks TI, The Pre-order extra goodies are MUCH appreciated. The way I look at it is - this is another rifle to add to everyone's collections. Are any of us going to loose life or limb if the Type 81s arrive in October or December or April for that matter? The good thing is that it was paid off 3-4 months ago with the pre-order. Now it will be like a free rifle when it arrives!!!!!!

We are all waiting haha but I suspect the final packaging box might be down graded.....

Hey HawkWei, do you know:
(1) How good a job is the re-design and implementation of firing mechanism to semi only?
(2) If the parts are at equivalent quality level as the military T81s? It sounds like they would be since they are rolling off the same production line.

Hi guys if you have a minute and can enlighten me... Will the final T81 Rifle we receive look like the one from TI's picture on page one, or will they look like HawkWei's in the box? I'm no pro but the barrel/muzzle and the wood stock look different from the two pictures. Anyone? Thanks!

Lol you still butthurt over the fact I have contacts at emei? lol keep butthurting.

The only reason I don't update here is TI clearly have deleted a lot of posts serveral times and I respect them.

They will look just like the military ones in the pictures. The one in the box is a prototype, the furniture, finish and the ribs on the barrel will be proper on ours.

I can't answer the question 1 since I am not a engineer haha, but for question 2 I am pretty sure these will be at the same quality as the military T81. As a matter of fact these Canadian T81 will most likely be produced at the same time as Chinese military T81 (easier for EMEI production arrangement).
