I haven't been able to contact these guys all week on the phone or email. I'm hoping their too busy getting ready to ship because these things are finally here. Winter is less than a week
 
I heard totally different story, there is nothing wrong for Chinese arsenal, they didn't delay T81 production. If Ti had submitted this order earlier you would have had it on your hand right now.

I don't know how that relates to the T81 other than TI is handling importation of T81 and accepting preorders. Type 81 is from a different country and factory than Turkish made arms. Although TI is claiming exclusivity and it would benefit them to make such claims as to dissuade others from looking elsewhere, if TI is making these claims based on an agreement with the exporter, it's possible that the exporter is making an agreement they didn't intend to keep. NONE of this relates to the T81.

If you want a better idea what all this means, read the thread yourself and come to your own conclusions. With that being said, my preorder remains in place. The nature of preorders is that they're inherently risky. It should go without saying that you shouldn't bet money you don't have. Otherwise, I look forward to this rifle with the understanding that it may never reach me because of TI, Jianshe, delays, RCMP, Canada Post or whatever obstacle that might come its way. I also understand there's an inherent impatience tax, I'm willing to pay a premium for first dibs.

These preorders seem to be not going as planned. I don't have a 81 preordered but I might get one when they are in country. And if they are all sold? I really don't care. Life goes on..

Let TI do their thing. If someone else brings them in first, just cancel your order and go there.

My single and only concern is the quality when they arrive.

I want a military grade rifle in terms of strength. It needs to be identical build quality to the original military ones. (Minus auto of course.)

I basically want the "Type 56" quality comparison. For example, when the US got the Polytech AK's they were 100% on par with the real Chinese military ones. They are super well built and considered to be the closest to a legit military AK.

I hope this doesn't turn out like the T97's. Different shape/caliber/quality.
The ones we got are cheaply built, and first ones in the country had a barrel problem and some exploded.

Agreed; it better be fantastic quality and not some sub-par "civilian" copy that come with barrel gouges and canted sights.

If they are in fact all they've been made out to be in terms of quality, reliability and practical accuracy then the wait will have been well worth it.

It would take some work to get to a level as low as those t97 garbage.

It really wouldn't make sense to do it so prematurely. TI has said by winter's end, so if there is no news by spring it would be understandable to cancel, but halfway through winter seems pointless. I mean you might as well jump ship now if you feel such a way
