9 mm.

Excellent service from Wolverine. very quick shipping.

it's built alright. way better than Norinco, even though i really liked my norinco.

However, it only comes with 1 magazine though..

came back from range, shot SAM for the first time. Love it.

not as accurate as CZ at the moment, but that could be me re-adjusting to 1911 after about a year now.
100 rounds or so. not 1 failure.

it seem to shoot left 2 inch or so at 10 yard.. but love the feel of 1911 in my hands again. good bang, little recoil. very tightly built.

my two Thumbs up for this little gem.

Looks nice! I've always been curious about the SAMs. How's the trigger on it?

thanks.

I am very pleased with it. no rattles whatsoever, smooth slide operation. like i posted above, not 1 failure over 100 rounds the first time out.

trigger, i would say is around 5 pounds. no takeup, tiny bit of movement side-to-side, clean break. for a budget 1911, i have absolutely no complaints. and it looks heck of a lot better than $500 or so they sell for new.

Which grip do you prefer?

i like the 1911 grip a bit more, compared to CZ. CZ is fatter in the grip (double stack mags...:( ) but ergonomically speaking, CZ's grip is shaped better, just not as comfy for me as 1911.

if i were to change anything about the 1911, it would be to get a slightly fatter grip panels to replace stock.

Very nice Congrats!

thanks.!

I find the CZ grip just about perfect and am curious as to the 1911's, I'll have to keep an eye for these at the range and try to try one..

Nice was looking at that, got the SAM full size in 40cal as $399 was to good of a deal to pass up. a nice pistol, bit nicer than a Norinco but with a more matt finish. I did polish the barrel feed ramp as I had some stoppages.

Very Nice! I have been seriously thinking about one of these too. Initially wanted the Ruger SR 1911 Commander but they aren't in Canada yet with who knows what for an ETA. Had some emails with Wolverine and this looks like the way to go. Would be interested to see how it runs in 300-400 rounds and if any issues show up.

At the price point for these it looks like a GREAT buy.
I'm seeing the future.........A lot of Norinco's going to be on the EE in favor of the SAM pistols.
Congrats, very nice looking pistol.

Has anyone looked-hands on at the blued ones? Is the blueing decent?

Basic blast and blue, looks ok. I have the .40 version, its a nice matte black.

gents. i've only ever taken it out once, but that first 100 rounds had been flawless. next outing, i'll bring it out again to test it out further.

it isn't a high end 1911. but the build is real tight, slide action smooth.. i'm real impressed.

i fitted fiber front sight on GSG1911 the other day, so i'll be taking double 1911 next time. !! ;)

I just recently bought the SAM Thunderbolt .45 ACP Stainless V2 from Wolverine Supplies. It's an absolutely beautiful pistol and feels very well built BUT... I've had it out only once to the range and put 100rds through it. Only one mag (8rds) of the entire 100 cycled all the way through without some sort of stoppage. The biggest issue was that it couldn't seen to completely chamber another round after it had fired and ejected the previous one. The slide would come forward and stop about half an inch shy. Has anyone had a similar issue??

When I purchased my stainless version (Thunderbolt not Commander) they accidentally sent me the blued version first, it was a very nice finish.
