Troy makes great stuff as I have a few of their Troy PAR's. Maybe I should get one of these instead of the 308 Win PAR. Any idea on costs for barreled uppers?

Thanks for getting this in!

To everyone else wasting thread space and all our time listing reasons about why they won’t buy or other negative comments:
-btching about bad experiences with pre sale on their last new gun
-‘it’s almost 9.39 lbs!!
-the (totally replaceable) stock is ugly
-endless etc etc etc

Perhaps you’d rather Troy (and anyone else who dare innovate thru our BS laws) not even bother. I’ve got a side by side you can have for free and shove it you know where sideways.

Obviously you’re free to not spend your money on this / wait for a few to hit the market but for goodness sake please STFU (and then some)

I doubt it will have a fluted barrel. Troy did that to ease extraction with the PAR.

Even if it did I’d still be in for one as the TROY’s are exceptionally well built rifles and I don’t reload.

I can’t see any reason to have flutes on a semi AR10 based platform.

For those of us who do reload, it's a big deal. BTW, I think H & K utilize a fluted chamber in a number of their rifles too.

My guess is the fluting was necessary for the pump versions as it directly impede function of the rifle. However when it’s in semi, I don’t believe a factory would spend extra to add ridges if the extractor is proven to do its job in standard AR10s.
