NEW: Troy 102 Non Restricted Semi Auto Rifle, PRESALE NOW LIVE!

Interesting, Everything I've read and watched on You Tube were positive for the later versions of the BCL 102, however there were a few complaints about the earlier models. It was also mentioned that the BCL 102 is a basic AR10 style rifle and is made to be upgraded. The funny thing here is I just bought my BCL 102 from SFRC last week and then the new Troy rifle comes out this week, It figures. I just hope the BCL 102 lives up to all the good things I read about it. The one thing I will say is, so far I'm not impressed with the BCL customer service and I figure if they don't pull up their britches , they're going to go the way of NEA. Good luck with your new Troy....

I have the gen 2 BCL102. besides a couple cosmetic blemishes from the factory, it has been 100% reliable and good accuracy. I've mostly shot Norinco surplus 7.62x51 and I'm getting 1.5-2 MOA consistently with that ammo. I have also shot Federal blue box hunting ammo in both 150 grain and 180 grain with results closer to 1.25-1.5 MOA. Rifle is stock with just a Geissele trigger and Magpul stock and pistol grip. I was planning on upgrading to lighter parts (BCG,Barrel, Hand guard) to lighten up the rifle for hunting but decided against it because the rifle runs so well. Still contemplating buying Stag stripped upper and lower to build a light weight AR10 or maybe Troy if they decide to offer stripped uppers and lowers. I would really like to get a gen1 (original) BCL102 stipped upper and lower if possible.

The Troy 102 and the future Troy 5.56 gun are exclusive to SFRC and The Shooting Edge in Canada. Dealer pricing is being sent to our dealer network today.

Hey Ryan,

Any IOP planned?

Also, when you say 10 to 12 week delivery, is that from the time we order or when will the clock start ticking?

Reason I ask is because I have pre-ordered a few rifles in the past couple of years, from you and some other retailers, and the timelines usually double if not triple when all is said and done. I understand that is the nature of the small firearms market we have here in Canada, but that is a lot of money to have tied up with no firm date regarding delivery. I apologize if my question seems crass, but I feel many CGN'ers share this concern.

I don’t see there being an IOP on the 308 rifles at this time. Margins are slim on them to keep them competitive. Troy’s are usually more expensive than these.

The guns are already ordered so I expect the times to be pretty accurate as they are already in production.

Questions! :)

Is the 5.56 already in production as well?

Does the 5.56 have an FRT as well?

Does the 5.56 fit standard parts as well?

and of course anything else about the 5.56 thats noteworthy

Throw new gas rings on the bolt and lube it up really well and no matter how it shoots now it will run even better after. You get 3- 3 piece sets for 8.50$. I found I didnt even need to replace the extractor.

Yeah, I read about a few guys having to replace the gas rings but IIRC that was on the earlier models. I also read about the extractor and noticed on the earlier models it was angled whereas the later models it was perfectly round. I guess we'll see when it gets here. Thanks for the info.

Which Magpul stock are you using? I was thinking about either the UBR(Mag482) or the PRS Gen 3(Mag672).

At this point it really is becoming astronomically weird the Ar-15 is restricted.

Hey Scheer are you listening? Not a chance. he doesn't have the balls to take a stance on anything, never mind stick up for gun owners...

Oh well doesn't matter!!

...great work troy, stag, ATRS, Wolverine and Macabbee!

Will these have the fluted chambers like the PAR? If so, don't count on reloading.

Don't knock SolidWorks; Great program; I use it every day.

I'm not necessarily insulting knocking Solidworks, I'm knocking the efforts put into the renders, you are right though the software is good for design.

On the subject of the rifles, looking forward to these and the 5.56 coming in. Have a first gen 102 and I'm happy with it.

Our design group use Catia; I am not proficient with it, but use it for measuring features on the 3-D models of the parts we manufacture that are not dimensioned in the 2-D drawings. The coordinate measuring system is pretty cool also.:)

I have no experience with any of these NR rifles; just an AR I built on a BCL unfinished upper and lower I bought from SFRC; I'm not sure why all the hate for BCL:confused:, because everything fit perfect and tight, and the rifle runs flawlessly, and is very accurate.:ar15:
