NEW: Troy 102 Non Restricted Semi Auto Rifle, PRESALE NOW LIVE!

Nice to see more NR options, thanks! I’m getting excited about the 5.56 that is on the horizon. My Stag-10 will keep me busy looking for spent casings until the 5.56 materializes.

Troy is by far a better product. I’ve owned 2 Troys and many many BCL. I no longer own bcl and just bought this Troy... so that says a lot

Have you owned the latest version of the BCL 102? I honestly don't feel it's as bad as you think it is. Anyone, no matter what their reputation, can always come up with a dud.

Yes I did have the gen 2 bcl. I sold it before I shot it in fear of all the reviews I read. I also owned bcl AR that had issues new out of the box. Issues with parts etc.. it actually did feel like a great rifle. I’m just a lot less nervous and more excited about this Troy.
I’m not knocking bcl at all. I still have the first AR I ever built with mostly NEA parts and it runs mint.

All I’m saying is that the Troys I’ve owned (AR and PAR) have been great quality.

CGn is never disappointing

Dealer: "Hey guys, here is a cool new gun we will be offering. Please discuss the firearm"

CGN:

"I'm not here to comment on the firearm, everyone on CGN absolutely NEEDS to hear my opinion on pre-orders"

Laugh2

Nice to see more competition in the NR 308 AR style market, but that stock is just too chunky for a 6 position, with nothing else adjustable.

I would go for a different stock option if I could throw in my two cents

I read every comment and no one has asked the most important question. Will the 5.56 rifle be made to a similar standard and follow a similar concept as the ATRS/MDI - basically made specifically to circumvent our silly arbitrary laws. Or is it something vaguely like an AR, like the WK?

Interesting, Everything I've read and watched on You Tube were positive for the later versions of the BCL 102, however there were a few complaints about the earlier models. It was also mentioned that the BCL 102 is a basic AR10 style rifle and is made to be upgraded. The funny thing here is I just bought my BCL 102 from SFRC last week and then the new Troy rifle comes out this week, It figures. I just hope the BCL 102 lives up to all the good things I read about it. The one thing I will say is, so far I'm not impressed with the BCL customer service and I figure if they don't pull up their britches , they're going to go the way of NEA. Good luck with your new Troy....

I have the BCL and the Stag 10. Both are fine rifles. I’ll likely buy the Troy too as I’ve got two Troy rifles and they are well built.

To those BCL detractors; my recently purchased Stag 10 had a loose gas block and a hand guard screw. It was purchased after they had all been “fixed” - not a big deal. It’s fixed now.

My Stag 15 had a canted front sight requiring the rear A2 sight to be drifted all the way to the left, leaving only one click for windage - it looked ridiculous. In my opinion Stag uses quality materials with suspect assembly.

My BCL has no such issues and it’s build quality is very nice. Only time will tell.

I own both tho, so I’m qualified to speak on it.

If I was on a budget I wouldn’t hesitate to go 102. If I had a bit more coin, I’d buy the Stag. If I had a large budget, and I do at this stage in my life, I’d buy all three.

Glad to hear that. I was beginning to have doubts about my 102 and I haven't even shot it yet. Here's a link to a guy who owns an earlier version of the BCL 102 and IMHO he really puts everything in proper perspective.

Throw new gas rings on the bolt and lube it up really well and no matter how it shoots now it will run even better after. You get 3- 3 piece sets for 8.50$. I found I didnt even need to replace the extractor.

Thank you Sir, your explanation was quite helpful. I also own a BCL102(Gen2), great rifle, never had any issues and quite accurate, a package that cost under 2K with all the accesories that I needed.

Good job enlarging the choices of SA 308 NR!

Is there actual pictures of the prototype somewhere? Any idea of the weight and balance? (thinking hunting here)
