For the exclusivity, we never said exclusive, since we did not have an agreement yet. We said only available from us, since at the time there was no indication that they were being imported by others. In fact if you review the emails from Uzkon it would indicate the opposite.

In any case we have edited our website/listing for both points to reduce any possibility of confusion.

That's worth pointing out, my Akdal 1919 runs flawlessly and has since day one, but they're all variants of a design, not exactly the same model.

This is a valuable point to note, I Have been very impressed with the MKA 1919, I would have already grabbed one if they came in mlok.

TI, as I said in another thread, I as well as others appear to have jumped to conclusions. This all seems to be moving very fast and no one has the specifics detailed and ironed out yet. Then with the added pressure of limited time offers that sound good but may still be more expensive than the competition's normal price and suddenly no one knows who (or if anyone at all) is trying to pull a fast one, yet it feels like it, you know? My apologies for any hasty accusations I may have made.

Im going to hold off on any preorder decisions until at least mid day of the 30th, see if any more info comes and make my decision then.

Your 870 is a pump gun... its a COMPLETELY different deal than a semi auto. A pump gun SHOULD cycle everything because YOU are the one cycling it. A semi uses gas pressure to cycle... certain shells don't work well in some guns. This is true for MANY semi auto 12 gauge guns. If your expecting a semi auto, box fed 12 gauge to be exactly the same as your tube fed, pump action 870, you will ALWAYS be disappointed. They are NOT the same type of gun. Therefore, can NOT be compared in pretty much any way at all.
 
What a stupid bunch of complaining going on around here right now. Its pretty clear based on BOTH letters that TI WASNT trying to mow W's grass at all. They inquired about a shot gun they saw on Uzkons website, the manufacturer said they were looking for an importer... TI said "well do it".

Why would they NOT do it? The pre-order may be a bit early based on no classification but I do agree with what TI said a few pages back, they know more about the FRT process than we do... they would have a much better understanding of how this one is going to go than we would.

Ive had great dealings with TI in the past, they have always been very honest and up front with ME (I am not everyone) so I like dealing with them and have no reason not to trust them.

At the end of the day, I agree with TI that a phone call between companies would likely have sorted ALL of this out long before we even heard about it. If there is pre existing animosity between these 2 companies that we don't know about, maybe theres a reason to think things were shade... we don't know. It seem to me there isnt and this was all just a big misunderstanding thats been blown out of proportion. Leave it to canadian gun owners to break out their pitch forks ready to skewer any company they FEEL or THINK isnt acceptable. Instead of standing together and US suggesting they work it out, we go all "liberal media" and create scenarios that have no basis. Ive said it before, and I'm saying it again, the Canadian gun owner community should be ashamed of themselves. Stop with the division...

Semi auto shotguns in this day and age should be able to cycle target loads. One that doesn't is poorly designed and shouldn't even make it to market in this day and age.

If my $300 Asena can cycle target loads just as readily as 3" steel loads, then a $1000+ gun better do it too if they (the manufacturer) expect anyone to buy it.
 
Should... sure. But if they can't and you know that before you buy it... who's fault is it? Or, if you don't give it enough time to break in... not the guns fault.

My comment was more directed at a person complaining that a semi auto shotgun may not perform like a pump... I stand by my comment. Its NOT a pump... it wont work like a pump. If you want ultimate reliability and "cycle anything" performance, buy an 870. You'll be happy with it. If you want a unique semi auto, box fed 12 gauge bull pup... maybe don't expect it to be exactly like an 870.

FWIW, the MKA 1919 I got from TI runs anything, any time, any place. Its exactly what all mag fed semi's should be benchmarked off of.
 
whats crazy to me is someone has a 1989 870 with only 2k rounds though it.
i can run through that in a month, and i dont consider myself a heavy shooter. the trap guys can run through that in a weekend.

What's really crazy is he bought it 27 years ago and has used it over 30 years

Fortunately, it's just a "gimme a refund" email away, if not the case...
Next little bit should tell. I've dealt w/ TI a number of times, and have no complaints, to date; always good comms off line, in my cases.
