New US Customs rules regarding shipping Antique parts out of the USA

[mkrnel]

I purchased through two different auction houses, two antique rifles. One in December '15, and one in Jan '16. Both were shipped USPS. One was opened by customs, the other was not.

That's good to hear, and?

...and... I just received 2 antique handguns from Rock Island Auctions. They came packaged together, not opened by customs.
One was an 1860 Colt, the other an 1849 Colt.
Also have a Remington Rolling Block that left the auction house last Monday.
I will post pics of the new family members soon.

Later...
