After firing a handload of 9.0 gr. W-231 ,fed. #150 primer,a Tuftex wax wad behind a Lasercast 200 gr. r.n.f.p.,a medium crimp in new Fed. cases trimmed back .010, the 5 shot average was 989 ft/sec.,extreme spread of 41 and std. deviation of 17,,,,,,,and a second load of 8.0 gr. Red Dot with same other components resulted in 1046 ft/sec.,an extreme spread of 43 and a std deviation of 17. The results on one hand were predictable for the point of impact to be dramatically low but what really concerns me is the 4 to 5 inch to the right issue.
I can't believe that in this day and age that a company like Ruger would let this get through their Quality Control. To me this can't be right but the question now becomes what to do about it. Do I contact the dealer or Ruger directly?
Any help out there would be appreciated.
