New Website

i like the new site. Loads fast for me. But just wondering if the "big announcement" is going to be a crazy sale or was it the launch of the new website?

The new site still isn't working for me, all I get is a blank white screen.

As I said before, it's kind of hard to spend money when you can't even see the products......
 
I have been trying to get onto Canada Ammo's website lately and it's slow that I just give up . and I have always enjoyed looking for specials. I hope they get things corrected soon . I don't want to miss something.
 
I'm still not seeing any categories like "ammunition" firearms" "accessories" across the top to click on. I have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page to find them (I'm using Chrome)
 
For me it only loads properly if I access from my g mail . Not from the gcn banner ad or when I google Canada Ammo????? Still the worst site EVER!!!!

Here is how it SHOULD look (I'm using Firefox). When you hover your mouse over the categories you get a drop down menu (like I'm doing in the picture for the Firearms category)

A couple points:
Overall good site. The first day was dog slow but now it's fine.
Obviously this site is designed to adjust to suit different devices/resolutions. At my normal resolution it happens to be a bit crappy.

I actually just found out it looks different based on browser width. At my normal desktop resolution with a maximized browser the bar under the Canada Ammo logo and above the black 10 years experience bar is cutoff and useless. The bottom scroll bar with no movement possible is mildly annoying. It'll go a couple pixles more if dragged to the right and max out, regardless of resolution from 1420 thru 1680 - my normal browser size with this old 20" class monitor is 1680. At this width you get the drop down ammo/firearms/accessories titles with mouse hover.

At a reduced resolution that half hidden bar jumps up in size and it becomes usable. A few pixels wider than this (1415) is when it goes to the above layout. At this width you lose the titles for the drop downs and have to click the little three white bars beside the cart logo to access the categories.

Not sure if it's just me but I preferred the old site. Was simple and easy to search for stuff. New one is all flash and glitz. Find it distracting. Just don't like it. Maybe I'm just old school ?! And this is coming from someone who made his first online purchase in 1983 thru Compuserve using a Commodore computer with a 1200 baud modem! Still have that Compuserve jean shirt! :)

.. and it's not like I haven't ordered from them before! I have my honorary CanadaAmmo pen! Would consider making another order just to get another pen! :)
 
Hmm... I didn't know I was missing things too! I don't have a scrolling "On Special" banner at the top like in Post #130. I wonder if CanAm can mention what resolution they designed the site at? (My picture I posted I have my screen set to 1366 x 768)
 
Just placed a order on the new site. Once again the only way in for me is through g-mail. The "FUN" factor of going to CA's sight and cruising has gone bye bye !!!! No JOY HERE !!!
 
I'm shopping single action Rugers tonight. I went to this new site but it stalls as soon as I click on handguns.
I'm not buying a new computer just to use the new site since it works on every other site on the internet.
Do you have Ruger New Vaqueros in stainless? What a pain.......
 
Sorry CanAm, new website is absolutely awful. The previous one was just fine. I used to visit daily, now, I avoid it.

Website only partially loads at work, and when I view on my Android phone, it's just frustrating to even look at let alone browse.

And this is from an extremely loyal multi multi orderer.

Why fix what wasnt broke?
 
Sounds like whoever sold you on the need for a new website sold you a bill of goods. I think you would have been better off to focus your efforts on inventory and sourcing good deals.
 
The site loads fine for me in Chrome and on my iPhone, that being said I haven't tried to place an order.

I'm interested in a couple of items but still waiting to see what the special is going to be that was alluded to in another thread.
