I was in the third in Germany. I'm going to call about the ranges in the area. I would like to shoot at least 200m. I fire muzzel loaders, shot guns and center fire riles. I like to shoot some clays every once and awhile as well. Are you still in the military?
 
Ive never seen another person ever at POSC, I wasnt even aware that there were other nearby ranges.If anyone has the info on eganville or beachburg, it would be appreciated.
I believe the Pembroke range is 160 yards!

Good old Petawawa...can't say that I miss that place much. Have things changed since '97? Is Selena still lurking around Sassy's, or whatever it is called now, preying on the drunking FNG's?

Eganvile is near the Bonnechere Caves off of Fourth Chute Road. Coming from Douglas Gurlitz is on the right and you drive almost to the end (about 1.6k)

We have a 25yd and 50yd pistol ranges and the rifle range has 100yd, 200yd and 400yd berms.

Ths range is the best in the area.

Most of the time I've shot alone or the group I'm with will be alone.

Beachberg has 25yd and 50yd pistol ranges, and 100yd and 200yd ranges.

It's a nice range.

As for Pembroke, they have a 25yd indoor range, 50yd pistol and 160yd rifle ranges.

No there is a whole new breed from what I hear. Its called the Great Canadian Wharehouse now. Little out of my age group goes there. Yes the place has really changed.
 
well... right now it looks 90% like I am moving to Deep River in another month (just need to sort out the final admin details)
So I will see you guys at the range(s)!
 
Well after much consideration I've joined the pembroke outdoors club today, it came down to joining the closet club so I can go on short notice. I'm good to go now. I should be out shooting next week....

You will regret that move, I was a member at Pembroke for 12 years, the last 2 years were unbearable there,too many Fudds,too much drinking, and zero range maintenance. I wouldn't shoot there again if I was paid even though it is 10mins from my house.

Today when I went there was 3 guys working on the range and they are planning some renovations on the rifle range. I believe they are going to put a berm to seperate the 50 m from the 150m.

They were told by the CFO to make range improvements 4 years ago and nothing has been done.

The berm in question, we (Reaper, Pops, Willysman and myself) had organised to have that done along with other work for no charge, but the prez beaked off to the wrong person (the man who was going to do the work) and killed the project in an instant.

As Reaper said you will regret that decision.

The hatch cover has been hidden by the prez. Want to go for a look see? You own it not them.
