So I literally have just got into reloading. Mainly because I picked up a S&W 500 and factory ammo is really expensive to shoot.
Last night I made up 50 rounds for my new revolver. Starline brass, Berry's 350 grn bullets, Hodgden H110 powder, CCI primers. 40.5 grn powder was used.
So I loaded up all 50 rnds in. Adjusted the dies by everything I had read in books and seen in videos when after I was all said and done I slapped myself in the head as I had realized I had crimped past the cannelure on the bullet. OAL is at 1.995".
Have I seriously messed up by not crimping on the cannelure? Will this seriously affect the round when I go to shoot it? Is it dangerous to shoot the round in this condition?
Thanx in advance for any help. Last night was my first go at it but I must say I really enjoy reloading and look forward to doing it again.
