newbie in ottawa

What about the club at Stittsville? 40 k from downtown Ottawa and great store. I never shot there but stopped into the store and they have a first class store and seem well set up.
 
I think they're the most expensive place around, like $400 to $500 a year. But apparently it's a well-equipped place.

This year it will be held on Sat 11 Sept. The entry fee is a whopping $5 per event and you can bring any rifle and compete - even a 22 rimfire. If you don't own one, ask and someone will gladly lend you one if you provide the 50 rounds of ammo you'll need. You don't need to be a member of EOHC.

A very friendly, down-to-earth bunch who don't care what you shoot and how you score.

And as an added bonus, the Ottawa Valley Marauders, Cowboy Action Shooting Posse ( www.ovmcowboys.ca ) will be shooting on Range 1

Sept 11 will be a great day - you can meet a few dozen fellow shooters, see a great variety of shootin irons, and enjoy some fun competition.
 
any handgun stuff in Sept? my range (Connaught) is being taken over by more important people than civilians, so i won't have any shootin' to do until Oct. would be cool to show up at EOHC and take part in a shoot or something. don't yet have a membership there... key word YET.

There aren't any handgun events at the Milshoot. We ran some for a time, but due to many factors (very low turnout, scheduling, oversight, etc.) we abandonned it. I don't see it coming back in the near future.

what about other handgun stuff in Sept? or does anyone feel like welcoming a guest in Sept? :D i'm a weekend-warrior only though :( no time during the week at all...
