I ain't got no windas - or at least when the top is down!

That's kind of ironic (and morinic) as the detachable mag on an A-Bolt is about the slowest system out there. You couldn't load it fast while jumping from a moving vehicle in preparation of shooting at game.pottsy said:"The cartridges feed from a three-round straight-column detachable magazine, and this is the only thing I can find about this rifle that is less then iconic. A detachable box is functional enough, but no one needs one except road hunters ....

Boomer said:I think we need to consider what the life experience of this particular writer might be. In many parts of the US, private land is more common than public land, therefore, perhaps in Petzal's experience, a road hunter is likely taking game on private land, although there is no reason why he should be doing so without permission from the land owner.
The real question is, why a DBM equipped rifle would be associated with unethical hunting practices? Certainly anyone who chooses to shoot from a vehicle or trespass onto private land could do so with any style of firearm. Once again we see that a classification of firearm is being labeled as the cause for unethical or illegal activity. That is what must be objected to.

The forum is basically a "conversation", the same as you and I would have at the local coffee shop. We can say pretty much whatever we want without life changing consequences. And yes, I am bright enough to know we would have this conversation for free.BIGREDD said:Do you realize that this forum is a "Medium" and we are all writers... most of us are just to stupid to realize we are doing it for free.![]()
