Next on the horizon for Norinco

Yea but if you're gonna go that far then make it more like the Mexican version. I think it address the only two issues with the G36, optic mounting and charging handle.
I don't know about that charging handle, it's mighty close to the rail (positioning looks similar to the SCAR). Also, is that a detachable carry handle?

The key benefit to the Mexican design is that is have a flat top rail integral to the receiver at a comfortable height. Something that is hard to get with the cocking handle in the position it holds on the G36.

I would also love to see Norinco make a semi-auto only repro of the BXP and a clone of a rifle like the CZ 425 .22 in 9mm that can take glock or beretta mags.

An M1 clone in either .30 carbine or 7.62 x 25 would be nice too.

+1 for an integrated picatinny rail on the top of the receiver

Frig it I'll post it already then.

What we need are INEXPENSIVE , MAGAZINE FED, BOLT ACTIONS. Left & Right hand actions would be nice but who knows.

Bolt action, mag fed & cost $275 at Marstar.

Having the gun rebuilt chambered for other calibers would I think be a big seller.

Magazine capacity options would be great. 5 10 20 or 30 round magazines.

Offering in .223 & .308 mainly then the other run of calibers based on popularity and demand.

As great as the 700's are, they are expensive in comparison to many other firearms, also many of us learning to modify might not always want to hack up a $700-1200 rifle when we are just starting out.

Also getting an M1A/M14 mag conversion limits us to 5 or 10 rounds and cost a pretty penny.

Think I've covered that one pretty well.

CanAm, any idea if Norinco would consider building left hand guns?

tavor short version,

i would think most of these are unrealistic expectations:rolleyes:, but what the heck, why not go for broke;)... just thinking affordable versions of the above. and since the norc ar-m4 is so good, why not cheap versions of everything:D... just a thought, but of course nutered civy versions in restricted or non restrict of all the above.

(;) For those that didnt catch the SARCASM)

g36 versions still being a very top choice:rockOn:...

How about an SKS-D in 308 win which takes M14 mags ? Preferably with some sort of factory quick-detach scope mount that actually keeps zero.

As for "dreamland" I'd settle for copies of every pre-46 belt-fed, also Lewis guns, and come to think of it, semi-auto versions of every pre-46 F/A firearm one can get past the CFC (that leaves out the Thompson, but not much else, and there sure were some sweet designs back in the day).

AFAIK, the gas tube on ARs is stainless, so it wouldn't be bothered by corrosive ammo.

Pretty sure the US Military were still using corrosive ammo when the M16 was first introduced, and it worked.

Could you imagine the types of threads on here with people using the corrosive x39 ammo through an AR type platform...

How about some well-made, hammer forged Remington model 700 actions? Plenty of people seem to be just buying the cheapest models and then tearing off all the other bits to make a whole new rifle.

When you're getting your action smoothed out and blueprinted by a gunsmith anyways, you might as well get one that costs a tenth of a whole new rifle.

And how about some proper Hi-Power copies?
