Next on the horizon for Norinco

Ill take one of these.

Bolt-action FN/FAL target rifle in 7.62x51. FN made a few like this for competition, and they are non-restricted. It would be great if the uppers were correct in terms of their exterior dimensions and would accept FN handguards, and mount properly on the FN/FAL lower receiver (and of course, take the milsurp mags).

How about getting some of their re-barreled pistols brought into the country? They already have the product all they would have to do is make a longer restricted version barrel.

I'd buy one of each.

bummer. that would be neat, and the unlimited mag cap would make it an absoloute hoot to shoot. I saw some amazing engineering in China, I'm sure they could whip something up.

Another gun I'd like to see would be a pump action .308 that took similar - but clearly different - magazines from my M14s. For instance if the latch tab were too low to be reached by the mag release on the M14, ensuring that they absolutely could not lock in place and would fall out under their own weight if you tried to stick them in by friction alone.

Or a pump.223 that took similar, yet different and non-transferable, magazines to the AR would be nice.

There would be no reason for these guns to look anything like anything else Norinco makes, or share any parts such as receivers, bolts, or barrels, IMO.

Could you imagine the types of threads on here with people using the corrosive x39 ammo through an AR type platform...

sterling SMG with rstricted and non-restricted barrel options in 22 mag or LR.

BINGO!!!
.22 magnum or .17 hmr non-restricted, semi auto Sterling would be awesome.

Or some sort of semi auto non-restricted beltfed. Make a .22 or .17 rimfire version for cheap fun- I know something like this has been made in the US before and probably still is. Rimfire beltfed? Practical no. Fun and cheap YES.

I would think that pistol calibers offer the best possibility of an inexpensive repeater as they can use simple blowback mechanisms. I would think something along the lines of the Marlin Camp carbine with a wood stock and taking 1911 mags would be relatively easy to manufacture and offers the ability to adapt the design to something 'interesting' like 7.62x25 that took Tokarev mags

I've got another vote here for the G36 platform. If it can be made reliably and with strong plastic, then that's just awesome. I'd love a < $1000 G36.

Yea but if you're gonna go that far then make it more like the Mexican version. I think it address the only two issues with the G36, optic mounting and charging handle.
