This 1941 8mm Oberndorf Mauser is so pretty :) Gorgeous wood, nicely blued, bore and internals mint, Nazi markings, all matching numbers. Not of interest to military collectors but what a shooter it would be for Military rifle matches... $499

i contacted gunnar right in the morning and told him ill take it, but a few hours later he emailed me and told me it was sold. i guess he sold it to a local.

I believe Gunnar felt the rifle had been refinished (reblued and stock redone) since it appears in such nice condition. I understand that some of the Port K98Ks can be in this excellent condition, but I'm not experienced enough to tell from the pictures if the rifle is in original condition. Anybody want to chime in about the originality of the rifle's condition?
 
Hard to tell by those photos if it was redone, but I doubt it.
Hope Gunnar didn't price it just like a M48.
Easy to spend 2g's plus for a GOOD condition one in the States.
That's was a great deal.

I remember you purchasing a Port K98 in similar condition from Tradeex a while back. Did yours come with the matching bayo? What about a sling?
