Nicest 22LR pistol

Beretta Neos 22 the Ruger i find a pain in the ass to disassemble and clean :)

The grip is narrow and at an angle I find uncomfortable to hold. Have only shot one once, so I cannot speak to its dietary requirements,
only that I would not buy one because of the ergonomics.

Having said that, if this carbine kit was available for actual purchase, anywhere in Canada, I would take another, better look at the Neos:

A nice alternative to the Buckmark Rifle, that can be converted back to pistol at least.

(I really doubt Beretta USA would ship this up north)

Am I the only one who finds those target 22's like the Beretta Neos etc completely hideous?

Not a fan of the looks of the Neos myself but other target guns that avoid the "ray-gun" look are fine to my eyes... :)
It's a personal thing for sure but many people can overlook it if the gun shoots well for them.

I have no problems with the lines of this target gun,

I've Owned a Sig Mosquito, Walther P22, Ruger Mk3, Browning 1911-22.

Mosquito had a slide failure and it cracked right in half,
Walther P22 I traded for and SVT40, Wish I didn't as it was a great little pistol even though some people reported issues
Ruger mk3 is still fairly new to me but it also eats everything I've fed it, Little recoil and very accurate
Browning 1911-22 Is my favorite by far but I do have little hands, Is the least fussy I've dealt with, Now Iam on a Pre order list for the 1911-380

Sig P226R, this pistol is totally reliable and accurate, i am ordering a Bersa Thunder 22-6, now that my Thunder pro 9 is here, i am seing the quality in the Bersa stuff... Just saying. JP.... JP.

So in terms of NOT being fussy with ammo and jamming, what do you think I may be interested in?
Thanks,
4dobes.

CZ Kadet if you can find one. I mention this as its the only 22 pistol out of 40 some I have owned, that gave me absolute no issues with any ammo. It has been flawless, accurate as well. Hard to find, great to shoot. It will shoot anything without issue.

well probably an "acquired" taste ... I used to find Ruger's unattractive ...

Exactly.
I thought the long barreled Berreta Mod 71's were strange looking but after feeling it in the hand and shooting it that changed.

ive got a Ruger 22/45 Lite, a Browning Buckmark, a M&P22, a GSG/Sig 1911-22 and about a dozen other 22 pistols.

while i love my Rugers i would never recommend one to anyone.
the field stripping and cleaning of that gun is just atrocious!
I wake up in a cold sweat fearing the next time i have to clean that damn gun!
that said ill buy another in a heart beat.

but i do highly recommend the Browning Buckmark line.
great guns, reliable and easy to clean.

Zippo,
Those look purpose built for competiton, I was thinking more along the lines of the Dura Matic's.... even the model name is very 50's Sci-Fi.

The nice old single shot break action Parlor guns always catch my eye....

Ahhh yes - nostalgia... I started with a single shot Webley - the UK police melted most of them - now they are rare! Is that one in the Czech Republic?

I have a MKIII competition and a Buckmark Hunter. I prefer the Buckmark, but only slightly. It was also $150 cheaper. This may change when I get my Volquartsen trigger kit for the MKIII, but we'll see. Neither gun has been picky as far as ammo, but my AA conversion for my Glock HATES American Eagle .22.

I also shot one of those Beretta 71s, it is such a nice, small pistol. I will be looking for one of those in the near future. If you ever have the opportunity to shoot one, do.

Not sure. Rusty Wood had one last year for sale around $900 if I recall correctly....
Imagine today instead of just shooting darts and playing billiards at the pub, to be able to challenge each other skills with some shooting.
