No.4 Mk4 (.308) Australian Repro for $700

The bottom angle on the Aussie rifle mag lug is quite pronounced. The M14 mag lug is square (IIRC). So, the semi magazine would go in but not lock up. I remember Mike saying it wouldn't stay in place between shots.

So is it a safe assumption that the magazine is different enough from a M14 that it will not be regulated to 5 rounds here in Canada. Or that the magazine exemption of 10 rounds for a Lee Enfield magazine will not be mis-interpreted to apply to these mags?

An M-14 magazine is similar in form, but in detail it is different.

The rear locking lug is different, (angle and height) and there's something different at the front too, but I don't recall what it was now.

The magazines must be specific to the bolt-action firearm. If an unmodified M-14 magazine was capable of working in the rifle, there'd be problems with the RCMP/CFC.

Other stuff (like going to sea) on my mind.
