What's the difference between The #4 anf the #5. I have a #4 that looks 100% identical to your #5, but is marked #4. The reason I ask is every time I google N0.4 mark 1 I get pics of rifles that look different from my rifle

You likely have one of the creative bubba No4's converted to look similar to a No5.....
Other then the wood stock being trimed down (by my grandfarther) it's 100% numbers matching original
Well if it's marked as a No4, it's not a No5.....if it looks like a No5, then it was bubba'd at some point. There was an outfit in Edmonton selling them not too long ago and they had some creative advertising to go with it......saying they were "special forces" experimental models etc etc.......![]()
It says No 5 right there on the sidewall...those bubbaed No 4 Jungle Carbine lookalikes say No 4.
