No.5.Mk.1 Lee-Enfield-why have the value of these guns gone stagnant.

You guys might get a kick out of mine. Havn't fired it in decades. Just got the rail and put a scope on it.

:)Looks good. Until fairly recently I had a pair of Jungle Carbines. The one in basically mint condition I added an original bayonet and left it as is.

The second, after a little clean-up, I thought I'd use as a shooter and for load testing I went along a route similar to what you did. I had the original butt stock for it however it also came with an after market one, by Bishop I believe. So I wouldn't have to drill & tap, the scope mount I went with was an S&K from Brownells.

Anyway, I parted with the second one, just to thin the stock out a little. Didn't really have much justifyable need for two Jungle Carbines.

You haven't posted the second one in a while Johnn, That was a great score with the aftermarket raised comb stock! She's a beauty.

:)Thanks guy. :redface:It pained me to part with it, however, reality of having and using two set in. I'm not a collector so if it's not used, it's history. The picture of the second one is all that remains of it.
