No Depreciation?

They can demand whatever they like. Right now the price of quality AR's is dropping like a stone, so when you paid maybe 2k for an ar a couple of years ago, try and get that now

EE......you don't BUY stuff there, you just sell stuff there....it's a joke, I can't even look at it anymore, idiotic what people do to guns (bubba work) and think that should add value to the gun, so it's now priced higher then new.

I cannot even find parts. Been looking for a CQ311 upper with the 20" barrel, back in the day you had to pay someone to get rid of them.

It's hit and miss like all things. There are some smoking deals from time to time... you just may never see them because they get sold in minutes. Literally.

Agreed, if there is something you want, You basically have to be willing to invest the time checking constantly. For me it's kinda like a game and it's fun when you win.

I don't get why people biatch. You see what's being offered and if you don't like it pull up your big girl panties and just order it new from one of our many awesome supporting vendors.

Then when you get bored of it you can post it on the EE for someone else to biatch about the price.

I rarely use the EE these days. However, after dealing with some folks on the EE over the years I would likely post the same high prices.

My normal rational when it comes to used gun sales is that in near perfect condition with very few rounds fired, a used gun that's still available should start at about 90% of the all in price of new. Any factor that degrades the value of the gun would be reflected in the asking price.

I found that no matter how reasonable the asking price, you would have a parade of guys trying to hammer the price down to absurd levels.

Human nature I suppose, but I'd post a higher price to hopefully discourage the tire kickers or at least leave some room to move.

My local gun store... accuracy plus, has significantly better prices than ee.... if i see something i want i will put out an offer. Im sorry but if its used 90% of price is too much.i would rather buy new. Unless its collectable or otherwise forget it. I bought a near new Benelli m4 at the store for 1300... here people are asking close to list. Sorry guys used is used.

It's nuts, but I put stuff up at reasonable prices and it gets sold fast.

I recently sold a rifle and a few more items for a reasonable price and they all sold within a couple days. There are other identical rifles listed ABOVE retail. Like $200 above retail. It's crazy.

Hahaha, I often look at it the same way! Definitely helps keep me somewhat sane

Some rifles are definilty decent priced and some sellers are simply not in touch with current values and lots of times Buyers are not in touch either. AR's have dropped however people have lots of extra gear include whuch is worth something, sig pistol price went down significantly but has now started coming up again, the CZ shadowline has appreciated $400 from last year. So lots of low round rifles do in fact appreciate over time. I have two pistols for sale in the ee right now. One is brand new with brand new holster, mags and belt for the price of the new pistol alone minus taxes yet I have had no bites on it. I would rather keep it than give it away. I also have a sig for sale damn near new which I paid almost 1500 new at the time. Today the cheapest retailer I can find the gun at has it for 1200 plus taxes and shipping, mine comes with a $100 holster and $100 SRT upgrade and I am asking just under 1100 shipped, I have many messages that people can buy the gun new for 1000. Well If that's the case buy it new and why bother messaging me, I don't beleive they can especially with the extras. This once again shows an out of touch buyer but that is ok, I am ok with polite lowball offers which I don't have to accept. My point is the EE works both ways, if you like the deal great if not move on. Merry Christmas

One day, i may get lucky on the EE, for now, with all the lowering prices, the dealers are the best places to buy... IBTL. JP.

Clearly none of you have bought or sold vehicles or anything else.

Held out selling a car that We felt was worth more. Took an offer 2000 less than the one we turned down a month later.

Were people being cheap? Felt like it. In reality we sold for what supply va demand valued it at. I would have kept it for the price we sold it for. The other half wanted to sell it and was willing to take the loss.

Everyone thinks what everyone else owns is work scrap price and what they are selling is worth the weight of gold. If you can't negotiate a price you can't negotiate it.

If its worth more to you than the price they offer don't sell

If its worth less to you than what they are willing to sell it for don't buy.

That simple. Quit #####ing.

I think the good priced stuff is scooped up within hours (more likely minutes LOL) so what's left is usually overpriced and stays listed ....and bumped up over and over.

btw ibtl

I think this explains part of the issue pretty well. Selling "extras" with the firearm really doesn't add any value unless the buyer wants those specific extras. Otherwise they are pretty much worthless....
