No Depreciation?

I think this explains part of the issue pretty well. Selling "extras" with the firearm really doesn't add any value unless the buyer wants those specific extras. Otherwise they are pretty much worthless....

I couldn't agree more, I use them as perks so buyers potentially buy mine as to someone else's, plus I also beleive I also sell quality firearms.

The EE is great. Many of my guns I got for free or for a quarter of the cost of buying new.

Best is when it comes with plenty of accessories and many mags, you sell the accessories/ mags and the cost of the actual gun becomes tiny

I like the EE however I rarely bite at something mostly on account of the crazy asking prices. In the past I would politely make an offer in line with what the item was worth to me. After a string of crap responses from sellers to my "lowball" offers I gave up. Mostly I don't even bother anymore. They can keep there "accurized" Norinco with an asking price of $300 over new.

never bought anything on the ee
Ive sold a few things they were generally gone within minutes of being posted, because I asked a reasonable price, so the only ads people get to actually see on the ee are the nut job wackos asking for actually MORE than the price of the item at the lgs. Cant see the logic in that.

One advantage of the E&E is that, if you're buying used, you can pick up some pretty interesting builds.

Esp. if the purchaser is "less than handy", it can sometimes be kinda nice.

The Military rifle section of the EE has been overrun by overpriced SVt-40's, SKS's and other low end milsurps, I wanna know who's hoarding all the good stuff ! :)

Looking for a deal on the EE is a lot like looking for a fine woman: there's some available but the good ones get snapped up fast. Whining about it doesn't really do anything for you except make you look like a whiner.

The good finds in life go to the guys that get out there and make an effort. If you only look a couple times a week then you'll only see the high priced stuff and the junk nobody else wanted - and you'll think that's all there is. And you'll be wrong of course, but you don't know any better.

^^This.

Anything that's priced right sells fast.

x2

I have bought and sold a few things on the EE. It always makes me laugh when guys post here about the high prices on the EE....and even more so when sellers whine about low ballers. It isn't like a guy comes to my home, or calls me....this is all online! All I have to do is look in my Inbox and type NO....pretty simple eh? If a guy offers me less than I think is reasonable, I don't get offended. What I usually do....now I know this term is unfamiliar to many here....I NEGOTIATE! If they aren't willing to negotiate or meet my price, we are done. The same goes for an item I am interested in. If it is a great deal, or I see the seller has bumped his price to a point I think is fair, I usually offer asking (Just completed a transaction this way). If it isn't, I throw out an offer. Maybe he counters, maybe he doesn't and no offense taken.

It's hit and miss like all things. There are some smoking deals from time to time... you just may never see them because they get sold in minutes. Literally.

This. Quoted for truth. If you really want a deal, seach for it once every hr or two. I have seen 10-12 Elcan Specter DR's listed in this past year, 5 or so were priced to move under $1650, and I own 2 of em. They regularly run $2200+tax. I don't buy off the EE unless it is something hard to find, or the savings are significant. I have only bought off the EE probably 12x, but have probably saved $3k.

but who doesn't want a $2600 Sportowy, $800 tapco SKS, a $1200 tacticool 10/22 or an $1800 Norinco AR15????
EE is AWESOME for things like that,.
