Pulled my TM1 out of the safe this evening to give it a thorough cleaning and lubing to get it ready for AB Provincial Championships/Western Zone this coming weekend. I dropped the trigger out. It looked good, nice and clean but I decided to give it a wiping down and re-lube. I applied a few drops of oil and went to push the hammer back down into the firing position and it broke in half as soon as I pulled it back with my thumb. I've never dry fired it and I always hold my thumb over it and hold it back to let it down gently when I pull the trigger to release it for cleaning. I was momentarily shocked to say the least. Now the scramble is on to see if I can find a hammer to swap out or possibly a spare trigger before the weekend. It's that or shoot either my Maxus Sporting Clays which I currently use for doubles or shoot my Browning Recoilless.
