Like I said I'm sure Marstar are good company. But what I'm trying to say is it's good to get feedback from customers and write their opinion on this forum. And It does'nt have to be Marstar it could be other companies that way people are aware what risk they are taking before dealing with them.

Also don't flame on me, the reason I said I think twice before buying from them (which is my personal opinion) I like to google review on a company before buying with them. It just happen Dave's ranting kind of support what I read on google review word for word that's why I gave him a credit. And it's up to me If I want to believe him or not.

I don't know you so I will be nice on this. You apparently did not read beyond the first page. I think that Dave was completely in the wrong how he went about this. If you ask around there are far more happy customers from Marstar then Unhappy, that is for a reason, and some people you can never make happy. I have a revolver at Marstar for a Warranty replacement and have had no problems what so ever with Marstar. If you pick up the phone and call it may take a few rings but you will get a polite person on the other end that tells you everything you want to know about what is up with your issue. John actually asked me to send my revolver back due to defect after I asked if the peeling Nickel was normal. This might seem like a stupid question to someone until I say I have never owned a nickel plated anything and didn't want to freak if it was some protective coating (see what I mean). Marstar is a very busy business for a reason, they treat their customers very well and they are about the only firearms business in Canada (Maybe not the only, but the only I know of) that warranty's what they sell for any reason. Good luck getting that most other places. Now I don't usually troop the colours for a business however when you are treated as fairly by Marstar as I have you earn respect and loyalty. Where I come from that means something. So you are entitled to your opinion but I have no problem recomending Marstar and that is not something I do lightly.

I'm proud to say I've dealt with SFRC (The ammo source) and my experience with them is phenomenal. I not saying Marstar are not, but it only take one bad experience that's why I like this kinda threads because it give me an overview of the company I'm about to deal with.

Yes. I read the whole thing. Sad but true. I will buy from Marstar. I will never deal with R1-Dave. Call me a newbie but... I can put 2 and 2 together.
F(*k!!

Up 2 you I suppose d:h: If you want to take the word of somebody that proved himself to (shall we say) stretch the truth quite a bit then that is your right of course. However in reviews, especially on-line, people always ##### about a company. Most people that get a smooth transaction don't write a review. So I would take that with a grain of salt. I was not flaming you and I wrote that I was being nice at the beginning of my post. I saw that you had 10ish posts and were relatively new here. A better way of approaching this would to have started your own thread and posed the question to the board, what is your Marstar experience? Then you would get some opinions based on current experience. I think we have hijacked this topic enough. I just wanted you to understand that I was not flaming you if had been it would have been direct not casual, I was helping out in what I saw to be an unfair judgment based on one page of a whiners complaint. There are better ways to find out what a company is like. Daves problem could have been solved with a 10 min phone call. That he refused to do after it was suggested no less then 5 times within a day of his post. Some people prefer drama.

I wonder how many more cool things John would be able to bring in if he didn't have to waste so much time on these really stupid issues?

I have dealt with Marstar several times and never a problem.
His refund policy really is the best around.

A lot of folks don't understand that so many people these days are so wrapped up in there MP3 player their, email, Ipad and lots of other new technology that an old fashioned phone call gets the best results. This new technology is training people not to converse in person or by phone. I had a secretary like that-when she sent me an email her job was done. didn't matter a damn that I was 3 or 4 time zones away, or busy or what-the email did it. I'm sure I will catch some flax for this comment but for you doubters try a phone call sometime, you might find it works

I understand that phone is one of the best options but as I already said - it is not my option.
I received emails from Marstar before and my spam filter is properly tuned. I also know that Marsatar was previously able to get my emails and I assume that it is very unlikely to have all my three emails destroyed by filter unless my email address is set as "spam".

To John - you NEVER replied on any of my emails with confirmation. NEVER! Only now, on forum you finally were kind enough to spare the word and actually confirm my order.
I don't need you to say anything other than just maintain business-like communication. Just two words of confirmation was needed and to get them I had to email three times, wait for a week and finally make a post it on a forum!
Way to go John, way to go.

Yet another happy customer

I have to give R1-Dave a credit for bringing this up this thread. This will protect the consumers from headaches when dealing with online suppliers. I have'nt dealt with Marstar , I'm sure they are a good company but I will definitely think twice before buying something from them.

Hmmmm guess you don't mind the selection within your viewing in person area then,I take it................That's fine leaves more for us that venture from our comfort zone, and take chances buying product not handle by our grubby paws before purchase.

HEAVY DXD45;
"Yet another happy customer "

It might interest you and others that TETAN ordered prohibited devices, insisted we provide them, since he was NOT licensed for them he then said a dealer who was licensed would order them, said order arrived several days later.... We acknowledged the order....

TETAN should know that we cannot simply ship the devicies in question we have to await the transfer OK from the CFO office....

We simply cannot afford the staff to send hour by hour reports to our customers, I wish we could....
John

quite the read here.

Okay, now:
Dave, keep the gun. No more talk. Talking's done.
John, send me Dave's refund. Don't question this; just get it done so we can all put this ugliness behind us.
I'll leave you good feedback and use the refund to buy something from you.:pirate:

Now, I must go hug my Marstar SKS. w:h:

WOW, I just read all 12 pages of this crap.

I've just recently upgraded my PAL to an RPAL and joined a club here in Ontario for the purpose of aquiring a restricted handgun. I've been wondering who to buy from and have been busy checking out all the site vendors web pages to find out who deserves my business.

I've never dealt with Marstar before, and quite honestly after reading this thread I am now looking for my credit card. Your waranty was incentive enough to give you a try, they way you handled this thread is icing on my cake. I now feel confident Marstar will provide me with what I want and take care of any issues that may arise in the 12 months that follow my purchase.

A PM is inbound.

Read ALL twelve pages....and John you have my respect for the way you have handled this issue. Anyone that deals with customers understands there are just some that can't be pleased and if we could have it to do over we would. You offered to fully refund and he can walk away. End of story, you both learned something and he can move on to the next problem he finds to post about.

Look forward to dealing with Marstar in the future.
