Non-Restricted ACR Barrels...

This thread is about ACR barrels. Not AR barrels.

That's an acr barrel. The recess machined 1/3 up from the bottom is for a clamp that secures a guide for the piston... the gas port is also a different size than an AR barrel

dude the barrel on the bottom is a 6.8mm barrel that i am useing in my AR 15 build. its the same thing! or shoud i say the ACR barrel will fit the AR15 but the AR15 barrel will not fit an ACR.

Did you put in the gas tube yet?

The ACR uses AR15 barrel extensions so it should fit on an AR15, as long as the gas tube is the correct length off the gas block. An AR15 barrel however wouldn't have the necessary cutouts to put the gas system parts on from the ACR.

Questar makes them for the AR but they say you can modify it for the ACR.

i am useing a mid-length gas tube on it. like i said when i am done my build i will post more. have to see how every thing gos together.

got my 6.8 upper put together. head spaced and ready to go. yes its the ACR barrel! i used the mid length gas system with adjustable gas block because i'm not sure what the 6.8 gas is like?
once i get to the range i can update on how it shoots.
