Just curious Ar180, why is the H&K SL8 last on your list? What don't you like about it?
Ok you completly lost me. lol
Ok, to try and clear things up...
The group posted by him was shot by me when I was doing ammo testing for my Swiss Arms here. He was making fun of the group, saying that his Mini-14 could out shoot it. Basically, that is the worst of the groups I posted. The picture subsequently posted by me was shot the same day, but using my handloads for the rifle. The group measures 0.975" (for 9 shots, #10 was a flier).
Personally, before there are any more comments from the cheap seats, I'd like to see the ammo test I did, but repeated with a Mini 14, using the same brands of ammo (as available), shooting 10 round groups, from the rest of the shooters choice, using any optics, then having the results posted for all to see.
from what i have seen, my 600 dollar mini 14 shoots as good as a 3400 swiss arms, probably more reliable too....
If you like humping something in the backwoods then weight does wiegh on 1's mind.I would love an AR based 223 but refuse to buy a rifle that is a pretender. I want something I can actually use on soft targets and don't have to ask the queen if I can use it. Given that, does anyone have a recommendation on a non restricted semi auto 223? Thanks.
Ya rightThe SU16 looks like a sniper rifle?

My order of preference as well:
1)Swiss Arms, no compromise $
2)Bushmaster ACR, with a 18.5'' barrel
3)Tavor
4)FN 2000 with 18.5'' barrel
5)AR180B
6)Mini-14

The original question by the O.P was a comparison close to the AR.
How is a bullpup design even remotely close?????![]()
For firsts they take AR mags, champ.
There is no comparison to the AR platform than the AR, even the Ar180 is totally unique.
Lol off topic a bit but that little flyer down and to the left of that nice group reminds me of that scene is super troopers: "how you shooting today?"Right, so you pull the worst group shot when testing about a dozen different kinds of ammo.
Here's what the Swiss is capable of with decent ammo (handloads).

Federal premium does very well too, as does Remington Premier.
So, let's see your groups... Don't be shy... post them.
