After a very long, but completely worthwhile wait, I'm proud to be able to share with you guys my non-restricted SSD STG 44 (BD44)
Gun was rebarreled and thus converted to non-restricted, and runs like a dream. Minimal recoil, no muzzle climb, and very comfortable to hold and shoot. For the first deliberately issued and intentionally developed rifle of its kind it's a pure work of genius.
This' only a teaser as I haven't had the time to edit together a proper shooting video. Working on a better video with more discussion and shooting
Also, mags are pinned too high so stuck with 4 rounds/mag in order to insert on a closed bolt. Ammo is handloads, however the gun seems pretty happy to run on just about any load.
Since it's been asked - work was done by Bits of Pieces in Vancouver.
