Norc 1911's any good?

You won't get an anwser here, somebody will tell you Norinco's are crap, somebody tells you they're wonderful...
I have one and it's my favourite.
You may have to try it yourself. Canadaammo.com is selling the latest Norinco 1911's for $349.00 shipped, IMO it's a great deal.

Yes

This question or one very much like it comes up every 2 weeks, and it is becoming boring, because the same guys say they are junk because they come from China and they would never own one and those of us who have one or two think they are a good deal for the price and then it repeats every 2 or so weeks. Sort of like " GROUNDHOG DAY" the movie. Do an "ADVANCED SEARCH " of "NORINCO 1911" in GENERAL DISCUSSION and you will get the info you are looking for.

Chi-com Junk.

The Chi-coms have attack subs and are building an aircraft carrier. If the Chi-coms will build small arms for rubes to buy, they will sell them to anyone including our enemies.
Wait till their chi-com low cost sh#t mobile cars arrive here for rubes to buy. Norinco is the manufacturing arm of the Chi-com army. Does our army sell guns?

I did own a Norc 1911, and a Norc SKS, and a buddy of mine has a 1911 and used to have an M-305 which he has now sold.

100% unreliable crap, IN MY EXPERIENCE (Yours may vary).

I recommend spending the extra few dollars for something that will make you a lot happier.

YMMV,

I'm out, again.

If you're worried about it, get your Norc from Armco, or send it there after you buy it. My experience with Norcs has been terrific, no issues but the one I got from Gunnar is a stand out, the trigger has settled out at 3 lbs. and it's more accurate (and reliable) than I am.
YMMV.

Well may I answer this question for the first time. Do I get a cookie for doing it for the first time?

Anyways - they are incomparable in quality to 1911 from respectable manufacturer. Hence is difference in price. I never regarded my Tanfo untill I shot Norc. Needless to say I love my Tanfo now.

say, if your norc 1911 is all you ever had, than it is proly a good buy. But once you tried the really good one then there is just no way back.

I like mine - although noticeably the quality just isn't there.

Mine had problems with mags but by and large I'm still happy with it given what I paid for it.
