NORC 223/556 ammo jamming up my Norc 10.5 inch AR

I just fired 100 rounds of CJ95 lot#31 ( white boxes ) bought from CanadaAmmo in my 14.5 Norc and not a single issue, no primer damage at all.
Can't be more happy with this ammo purchase !

I just got a sardine crate of lot number 28 year 95 will test tomorrow in a 16" KAC and a Mk18ish gun

Well no issues with my lot number does not seem to shot as well as the yellow 93 marked batch

I have only used norc ammo in my t97, so far so good. 600 rds of whitebox stuff from CANAM and 200 rds of the bulk paper wrapped stuff, no problem except 5 - 6 FTF (1st round of the mag) when using the grey LAR mag, no feeding issue with the black LAR and the metal 5/30 mags.

Shot 400 rounds of the Spam Can, 40 count, paper wrapped stuff out of the Tavor with no problems and tight reliable groups at 50-75 yards. Cleaning it later, found no discernible shavings or metal fragments anywhere. Before this shot the first 400 out of the can with not a problem in sight. Pin length might be your problem but bad batches can happen. Don't know, very weird.

Lets get this back on track. This thread is about Norinco ammo malfunctions.

That's enough with the tired old 5.56 debate. Leave the other thread where it belongs.

Cleaned up all the off topic posts.

Same thing happened to my tavor....screwed up my trigger assembly until I found out the cause...
The norc ammo was bought a year ago and it comes with the yellow boxes..

My yellow box batch is great so far, smokey as hell, but no duds so far.

I've run through 4800 rnds of this stuff.

It runs flawlessly when temps are below +25. Once temps hit 30+....... Not so much 1 in 3 cases loose their primer!

CJ93 head stamp.

I also have some red box left (not much) and white box (3200 rnds). So far I haven't tried these types in the heat. I have yet to purchase anything in the spam cans paper wrapped......

I did a velocity/accuracy test back in the spring on this ammo..... I posted the results then...... My memory is weak, I don't recall if I posted the info in a thread I started or in a thread I was replying too...... A search yields no results....

Cheers!

I have shot two cases of the Norc ammo one was yellow box the other case was white box. The ammo worked well, was dirty but for the price I have no complaints. For me it is cheap ammo to go to the range with and enjoy the day.

I've had a similar experience with Norc ammo (spam can). Put about 400 rounds through my RRA AR. No stoppages and good accuracy for price. Dirty as all hell but for the price I've got no complaints.

I have shot half a crate of CJ95 marked ammo, paper wrapped, bought from SFRC last summer. Not a single stoppage, primer issue, deformity, etc.

I figured buying some Norinco ammo 93 or 95 would allow me the opportunity to practice my malfunction drills, I have been mistaken... I am approaching 3K rounds of the 93 and 95 stuff through my DDM4V7 with 1 FTE.

I've had some primers pop with CJ95 on both my AR and T97. It's easy to miss, sometimes it's just a bit of extra smoke and stink that shows up at the rear of the rifle. That said, the popped primers have done nothing to slow either platform down. Probably bad for the bolt face. . .not sure I care enough to do anything about it.

The T97 did 5.4 MOA today with CJ95 and my AR15 did 5.1 MOA with it: http://www.huntinggearguy.com/news/range-report-t97-vs-ar15/

I have a case from November 95, shot about 120 rounds out of my Daniel Defense V5. I had one jam in the chamber, and had no clue how to clear it.. reefing on the charging handle had no affect. wedging a screwdriverin before the bolt and the receiver pulled it free.. hope I don't get any more of these jams. I was scared i'd have to bring the rifle home to work on it with a live round in the chamber.

Before sticking a screwdriver in there, did you try to mortar it? Most times it'll get it unjammed, just don't do like this guy...
