I received my 8.5" Norc today. So far, I am impressed! :D

Took it apart and gave it a wipe down/inspection.

Something I was surprised to see (pleasantly) is that the trigger group is polymer.

These things are very cool. I LOVE the forend. The buttstock has to go ASAP. I hate the rubber recoil pad. Stinks! (smokey rubber smell). The OAL is approx 28.75". I plan to install a hogue 12" LOP, a XS Sight Systems "Big Dot" tritium bead and a green hi-viz follower. But before that I'll do some function testing. I'm working the next 4 days, so I'll try to hit the range on Monday. I'll post some more pics then.

PS: A big thanks to SFRC for getting this to me. Great people to deal with!

How much and from where?
It's interesting that they switched the trigger group.... I wonder why? The D.A. 8.5"ers are metal trigger groups or they were...

you will love the xs sights....i put it on mine..it's the best sight .....

also if you take a tac-star 6 shot side saddle, and cut the holder back to 4 rounds..the extra that sticks forward can be modified to install the rail that came for the top on the side....for light..whatever. won't interfere with slide action (hand passes by light with out any interference). also put a cheap little laser on it...opened it up filled it with non-conductive silicone...now it holds zero and is ressistant to recoil

great little gun...have had no problems at all :)

Yes please. That is freakin cool!

I believe if you replace it with the 12inch LOP, the shotgun will become restricted.
On the SFRC website it said it has 27 1/8 inch overall length. And the standard stock is 14 inch I believe.
But again, I might be wrong.

Added note, the receiver is not marked "Dominion Arms". It's marked CA PD8-SB. Also not drilled and tapped for top rail.

got this from the rcmp firearms website.....restricted classification

http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cfp-pcaf/fs-fd/restr-eng.htm

definition of a restricted firearm:

"c.a firearm that is designed or adapted to be fired when reduced to a length of less than 660 mm by folding, telescoping or otherwise, or"

660mm = 25.98"

i was told the proper way to measure length is to place gun straight up against wall...measure from floor to highest point...

a knoxx stock, fully collapsed measures at 27 1/4" .......so according to the rcmp, a knoxx stock (imho..the best) is 1 1/4" over legal, fully collapsed...therefore non-restricted

that's how i read it so if i am wrong , could somebody please correct me... :)

I'm measuring the one I have in front of me. The shortest measurement I am able to get from it is 28.5"

I'm also thinking about Magpul's 870 stock. Might look good with the forend this one has. Current LOP is 13.75".

Well the importer for dominon arms (canada ammo) has it listed it as 27 1/8 inches...so maybe we can ask them how they measure it.

And remember, it is how the RCMP or the police interpret the law and when they measure it, if it is under 26 inches....then it will be a restricted gun for them. Even if you said you measured it and it is say over 26 inches.
