Trying out the STR - like the idea of the extra cheek swell. I'll see how it feels at the range today. Only downfall was I needed to replace the buffer tube on the CQ in order for it to fit :( - but at least that was cheaper than a new stock for it lol

The best way to deal with the Norc sling is to hold it in your strong hand, walk to the nearest waste recepticle, and release it into the recepticle. Then get a sling that works from one of our fine sponsors. Seriously, if you try to use that thing you'll end up with one of 2 things, an injury from the rifle striking you somewhere delicate, or a headache from trying to figure out what the hell this piece of hardware is attached at that angle on the wrong side for. One Shot sells Vickers.

BHAHAHAHA so im not the only one with this conundrum
 
Curious what the norc sling looks like mounted... I thought I had put mine on correct but it was such a disaster that I just threw it out in the end. Have a nice one point now.

Seeing something like that, you have a better chance of seeing a Yeti in the wild.

This seems like the best place to ask,
Just got my 10.5 in the mail yesterday,
I want to get a quad rail for the handguard, take off the front sight and carry handle,
switch the butt stock out,
and get it all prettied up.
Ive read abunch about the front sight,
didnt find any packets of white powder, but there were 4 oil soaked patches shoved everywhere.

Measuring the hand guard, I get 6 inches, but can only find ones for sale that are 7, am I miss-measuring or just not finding the right ones to buy?
A friend gave me 4 5 round mini-mags, and 2 polymer 50 beowulf mags, so I am set that way for now..

Now just have to figure out this handguard issue, decide on a scope set up, and get a sling and sling plate, oh and choose a stock lol
This is going to be fun!
