And the secret to punching out the front sight pins? LOL those buggers are in there beyond tight. I'd say you have a 50/50 chance of getting them out without the dremel.
 
they are in tight, but it can be done. I use a 1/4 punch to get it started against a hard surface and don't give it love taps. I have removed the pins from three Norcs without a problem.
 
I have nothing against the ChiCom Norincos.. Im looking forward to buying a pair and investing in some Duracoat ;) They look like good kit.
 
I'm going to finally post a pic of my Norc M4. I just need to wait until my scope mount arrives and I'm guessing by middle of next week. I just bought Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5-16x42 mildot scope. Looks very nice. I never played with scope with parallax adjustment. Wow, it really works. haha

BTW, where can I buy a cheap bipod that I can mount on the barrel? Everyone I'm seeing is mounted underneath the arm guard with rails. My M4 is completely stock. Don't want to upgrade arm guard because I like the ordinary look.

Have any of you found that the saftey is rather loose? I took mine apart to examine and just appears that the pin length is the main issue. Has anyone else experienced this?
 
Here it is!

Hope to zero in scope today. Mounted Elite 6500 2.5-16x42 /w RRA mount. I might want to add riser... So much eye relief, mounted scope forward as much as I could and couldn't centre scope on mount. Is that okay?

BTW, I'm not quite sure what 15inch/lbs feels like with allen key. Best I can describe is, very light 'tight' at long end of 2.5" allen key.

My NcStar bipod arrived today. Won't be doing any more upgrades any time soon. Finally did what I wanted to do from the start.

RRA mount
Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5-16x40mm

Instead of dumping $1500 on a brand name stock AR, you can do all of this for about the same price.
