Finally almost finished the build
Spend more time practicing and less time taking pictures, you bum :p

anyone know the model of Magpul used on the LAR 10 round mags? What is the trick to posting a picture, I would really like to show off the work I have done on my M4...

Kind of cheating considering that the only Norinco thing in this gun is the lower receiver. About to drop a Spike's lower as soon as it lands from Questar.

-Norinco CQ 5.56 lower and internals.
-Magpul MOE stock, and grip
-Daniel Defense upper
-S&J 14.5
-Samson Evolution Rail 12.37"
-Magpul ASP
-Magpul BUIS (not pictured)
-EOtech XPS-2
-Magpul AFG
-Dlask Trigger guard
-PMAG
-Surefire X300

New scopes and mounts.

The Vector Optics scope looks promising. Feels and looks very good. I haven't used it yet but if it's really good, I might try and import a few.

What do you guys think about this extra wide scope mount for the Bushnell? There is one with a shorter ring gap but the base is probably 1/3rd shorter. It's a though mount and so are the other samples I have to play with. I might be able to bring in picatinny/weaver mounting accessories at a reasonable price for all you Norc fans or cheap mount fans in general. :)

I should have ordered the shorter ring mount too. I guess that'll be my next sample.

Amazingkg3; how do you like the Magpul AFG? I was thinking of adding one to my rifle. Have you used a vertical grip before?

I know you didn't ask me, but I figured I would give my 2 cents worth. I have used vertical grips (Tango Down) and found that this type of grip was uncomfortable. The AFG by Magpul is so much more ergo-dynamic and in the position close to the mag well, very comfortable and natural..

Just shot over 1100rds (pretty close to 1200rds actually over the last 4 months) without cleaning. Wiped off BCG 3 times to see what was up, greased and dropped it back in.

No major fouling on the parts - bolt face looks fine, lugs are clean, back of bolt is showing some carbon but nothing I would worry about. Bore looks clean and the gas system is just purring away.

Functions 100%, no serious degrade in accuracy, goes bang everytime. Fired cases are dirty in the body (chamber is definitely dirty) but not affecting chambering at all.

Using a moderate load of WCC735 and even the lower is "clean"

Pretty hard to complain about that...
