I can tell you the difference between my Norc and 1952 Tula refur
1) Stock is nicer on the russian, that arctic birch is really nice. The chinese mystery wood seems soft and looks fugly.
2) The cleaning rod on the Norinco rattles like crazy, the Russian doesn't.
3) My cleaning kit buttstock spring broke on the Norinco within a week, the Russian one is fine.
4) The Russian one is more accurate, barely.
5) The bolt on the Tula is far smoother
6) The Russian flings brass like 15 feet up and to the right, the Chinese maybe 3 feet.
7) The Chinese norinco is pinned aesthetically nicer than my Russian. There's this big round block of plastic or metal in the bottom of the magazine and an ugly rivet sticking out the bottom.
8) The top handguard has less wiggle and play on my russian.
9) The bolt is blued on my Russian while the Chinese is just straight metal.
10) The Chinese I find harder to strip down.
Basically I have a nice SKS and a beater. I use the Chinese for hunting and the Russian for, well I don't know why the hell I bought it but I did and I like it.
edit - looks like I totally misunderstood the OP
