Nordic 10/22 build by fellow CGN

LOL, thanks. As I told Sam, sourcing the parts was the difficult part. However, now that we can order >$500 from the USA and Dlask has short barrels back in stock, even the parts sourcing has got a lot easier.

As for the actual building process, and no false modesty here, its very simple. Maybe a dozen screws. If you can field strip and re-assemble, then you guys can do this too!

I would hope so, considering anyone can buy the NC chassis for $180.

Nice build, I love the Nordic stock. I still have an original Nordic stock in my collection. The one in the thread is the second generation from Nordic . As for the stock, it was designed by Hawkteckarms. Hawkteckarms sold the design to Ruger for the SR22 and is no longer able to make them. If you can find the stock and you want it, it would be a good idea to pick it up as the original maker no longer makes them. I remember getting an email from Dan at Hawkteckarms blowing them out for a $120/piece years ago. If you can find them now the price is anywhere for $180-$300.

Do you lose much accuracy when using a bull barrel under 14"? Want to build something similar but not sure what barrel length to use.

I have read that .22LR ammo is still "accelerating" up to 14", so a shorter bbl may not maximize the amount of propellant burnt. And yet after 16", extra bbl length can slow the round down.

I've seen 22LR pistol shooters with 6-7" bbls be more accurate than me with a 20" barreled rifle :)

I have the Nordic Chassis and hogue hand guard with a new 1022 receiver and trigger assembly on order from a fellow on cgn. You know who you are. Thank you.

I think it's one of the cleanest sbr builds out there so far
