Norinco 10/22?

Because 10/22 blueprints are readily available, and tons of companies other than ruger already make pretty much every single part.

would there be any chance of seeing chinese 10/22's? with ruger not properly satisfying the market, they seem like they'd sell like hotcakes

It takes a lot for a gun company to tool up to make a new gun. Even Chinese gun companies. I would like to see a lot of Chinese knock off guns over in Canada, especially the ones that are over $3 grand, but it more than likely is never going to happen.

I really don't see the market unless they were literally giving them away.. My first 10/22 was under 250 taxes in. Would you really be willing to take the risk on a 150 dollar (if we could even give the numbers for a production run) norinco vs a real ruger? I wouldn't and I love norinco stuff

Some guns seemingly can't be made cheaper than the companies who make them, Mossberg and Ruger come to mind. They have it down pat.

10/22 sold out in days at retailers before someone started chicken littling saying they would be banned. Now they last hours.. I'd be surprised if ruger was not near max production before this craziness

What he said.

The only reason I could see this every happening is the availability, it's already too cheap for them to try and make it for a cheaper price.

My guess is they could probably produce more units but scarcity keeps prices up. Flooding the market would satisfy demand and prices would drop and profitability along with it. But also it seems obvious the death of the long gun registry has driven Canadian sales of guns through the roof and its harder to find popular models of anything!!

Send me a link to the drawings and I will have a look.

I see armscor is doing a 10/22 copy now. Saw it at IWA

Still waiting for that weird pistol carbine in .380 Auto they showed once. I was interested in it solely because of how unique it was. Doubt it ever went in to production though.

As for a Norinco 10/22, I don't see the major advantage of having a cheap 10/22 when Ruger 10/22s are already super cheap.

There may be an advantage for us, but we'll need to look at it. The factories are hungry these days

rumor has it that there is three shifts working right now at more than one firearm manufacturing plant i would to have this confirmed by someone that is shure but i bought a new 10 22 last week when i traded in a problem 308 and they are getting shipments to ontario just 12 at a time and yeah they sold out in 2 days as soon as people knew they were here i wouldnt realy buy a knock off at least not until they prove complete compatibility with after market parts

maybe a market if they produced one in a different caliber.

first company that makes a semi-auto in 17 Winchester Super Magnum will probably get my money... 3000 fps, rimfire with no magazine capacity restrictions = too much fun.
